Testimonials

“All works are carried out to a high standard with an understanding of our ecological requirements and the sensitive ground conditions either getting to the work site and at the work site itself.  Communications are good throughout any project from tender to works to completion.”

Reserve Manager, Natural England. May 2014

“We have found JW Bainbridge Contractors Ltd. a pleasure to work with over the last few years. Professional, diligent and with a high standard of workmanship, we feel fortunate in having a contractor who we can trust with our most delicate of sites. Jonny’s experience in these situations is invaluable, which he and the team are always willing to share, coming up with practical and workable solutions to whatever problems arise. Many of the projects that the team have worked on have, due to the nature of our sites, been in the middle of the active military training area, including the impact area. This has resulted in limited working time on site, challenging access routes, no storage facilities and often difficult working terrain once on site. Evening and weekend working, coupled with inaccessible, dangerous and remote sites often means that other contractors are put off by such projects, or are prohibitively expensive, yet J W Bainbridge Contractors Ltd. remain competitive and enthusiastic throughout.”

Assistant Rural Estate Manager North, Landmarc Support Services Limited. May 2014

“JW Bainbridge has successfully delivered a variety of contracts as part of our bare peat restoration work. In the coming years we will undertaking an increasing amount of this type of conservation work and we will therefore be issuing many more tenders for restoration work requiring this sort of specialist, low ground pressure vehicles. For example we are aiming to restore over 100 hectares of peatland every year for at least the next three years. Subject to capacity JW Bainbridge will therefore be well placed to bid for future jobs such as heather brash cutting and collection, heather brash spreading, material transport and lime seed and fertiliser spreading. For all of these jobs, our specifications state that the successful contractor must use low ground pressure vehicles so that the conservation work can be carried out without risking damage to the sensitive peatland habitats.”
